Welcome to my blog! If you are here I assume you have probably found me from my Instagram but if not let me introduce myself. My name is Abbie Marsh and I’ve just finished my 3rd year as a Mathematics student at the University of Bath. I have a strong love for Mathematics research hoping to do my PhD within Applied Mathematics.
I started this blog after starting an Instagram with the same name. I like sharing about what it’s like doing a Mathematics degree and in general balancing a degree and life (including working a semi full on full time job). My reasons for starting a blog was my desire to do some more long form content but also I felt overall this could be helpful in terms of organisation. I hope to provide help to people who maybe are thinking of applying to university but don’t have a lot of support surrounding them e.g. parents who didn’t go to university, people unsure about whether to go to university and people who want to improve their understanding about career pathways. I also aim to provide mathematical content in some areas of interest to make them more digestible to learners. A long with this I hope to provide you with information about my journey into academia. I also will be making content discussing access and being a disabled student at University. I really want people from similar backgrounds to understand this is something viable for them.
I hope my posts are helpful. Please follow the blog and comment if you enjoy the posts.
